National Procurement Policy Statement (NPPS)

The Cabinet Office have published the new National Procurement Policy Statement that will come in to force on 28 October 2024.

The statement outlines the strategic priorities for public procurement and guides contracting authorities on supporting their delivery. It introduces the new Procurement Act 2023, which aims for a simpler, more transparent system to ensure value for money and support national policy priorities.

The statement also emphasises value for money, social value, support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), commercial and procurement delivery, and skills and capability for procurement as the national priorities.
