Procurement Review Unit’s (PRU) ambitions


The Procurement Review Unit (PRU), launching in October 2024, aims to improve public procurement standards, oversee compliance, enhance services to suppliers, and maintain a central list of excluded suppliers. The PRU consists of three services: the existing Public Procurement Review Service (PPRS), a new Procurement Compliance Service (PCS), and a new Debarment Review Service (DRS). Its goal is to ensure transparency, fairness, and accountability in public contracts. The PRU will work with stakeholders and provide guidance to contracting authorities under the new Procurement Act 2023.

A document entitled ‘Raising standards: our ambition’ has been published outlining the PRU’s ambitions, and how it will support the Procurement Act 2023.
