G-Cloud 14 is now live
Launched on 29 October 2024, G-Cloud 14 succeeds its predecessor, G-Cloud 13, and will run until 28 April 2026. This streamlined digital marketplace allows public sector organizations to easily procure a wide array of cloud services, including hosting, software, and support.
With G-Cloud 14 now live, thousands of small businesses can supply cloud-based services to the public sector. Notably, 90% of these services are provided by SMEs, expanding opportunities for smaller suppliers. The updated agreement introduces enhanced financial stability checks for vendors and has already contributed to substantial cost savings, averaging £192 million annually for the public sector.
G-Cloud 14 comprises of 3 lots:
Lot 1 Cloud Hosting
This gives you platform or infrastructure services for processing and storing data, running software and networking. Cloud hosting offers the capability to deploy, manage and run software, and provides processing, storage or network resources.
Lot 2 Cloud Software
Offers applications that are usually accessed over the internet or private network and hosted in the cloud.
Lot 3 Cloud Support
Cloud support to help set up and maintain cloud software or hosting services.
