Dates released for new training on the Carbon Literacy Project

23/06/2023

Do you work in the NHS and want to be more carbon literate?

In partnership with the Carbon Literacy Project and E-learning for Healthcare a new training programme has been developed.  It is suitable for all NHS staff, but particularly suits aspiring or newer green champions/sustainability staff.

It is split into two steps:

Step one: Online e-learning consisting of five modules that coverclimate science, impacts and policy, climate change and effective climate communication, with an assessment to conclude each module

Step two: An in-person or online half-day workshop with a few short home-based tasks, this focusing on practical emission-saving actions in your workplace and will be personalised to your organization.

The eLearning component is always free to NHS staff, however Greener NHS have also funded 120 workshop places which will be delivered by WRM.  This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals to become carbon literate for free!

The dates for the workshops are:

  • 6th July 9am-1pm,
  • 3rd August 9am-1pm
  • 7th September 9am-1pm

 You can sign-up here.

Please note that anyone who wants to sign up for the workshops MUST complete the eLearning first.  All NHS staff can do so by signing up here.
