Part 2 – Real Estate: Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards and associated environmental issues in leases, to include allocation of costs and landlord’s access rights for energy improvement works.
We will discuss the issues faced in practice regarding the ever changing energy efficiency requirements for commercial premises. This will include a brief background into the current and proposed energy standards, how this may affect existing leases and issues we are seeing in respect of new lease negotiations.

Charlotte is an Associate in the Real Estate Team undertaking a broad range of commercial real estate work, including acquisitions and disposals, and landlord and tenant matters. Charlotte acts for a wide variety of private sector clients, including developers, funders and commercial landlords and tenants as well as numerous public sector bodies including police authorities, NHS Trusts and local authorities.
