Following the implementation of the Future Operating Model, Category Services Providers (CSPs) were established to manage the analysis, sourcing and contracting processes nationally for 11 categories of spend.  In 2018 all clinical, food, and hospitality services and products frameworks owned by NHS Commercial Solutions were novated to NHS Supply Chain. NHS Commerical Solutions, along with the other three NHS procurement hubs, owns 3 of the 11 category management organisations within a new company called Collaborative Procurement Partnership LLP.  The list of categories transferred to NHS Supply Chain CSPs is shown below:

NHS Commercial Solutions provide programme governance support and project leadership for collaborative programmes across all categories of spend including those areas that are managed by Supply Chain Coordination Limited and NHS Supply Chain.  We are actively engaged with the collaborative procurement programmes with the ICSs in our region.  Typically we will facilitate and coordinate the opportunity assessments and prioritisation process, providing project management and reporting to executive boards, all within a collaborative methodology based on phased collaborative commitment of demand by participating trusts.
