Legal Services

This framework agreement (ref: 2899-5) commenced on 1 February 2015 and is managed by NHS Commercial Solutions, on behalf of NHS Commercial Alliance, and provides a range of legal services across nine lots. The framework is available to all NHS organisations in England, local authorities and public sector organisations.

Agreement duration: Four years (1 February 2015 to 31 January 2019)

Lot 1: Primary Care

Advice relating to, for example:

  • Alternative Provider Medical Services (APMS), Personal Medical Services (PMS) and other primary and community services contracting;
  • Prison Health (regulatory, procurement and contracting);
  • Primary care fraud (prevention, detection and representation);
  • Commissioning;
  • Continuing Care and funding; and
  • Care Homes.

  • Admission, detention and discharge issues;
  • Patients’ property; and
  • Interaction between Mental Health Act, Deprivation, Liberty Safeguards and Mental Capacity Act.

  • NHS mergers and acquisitions;
  • Commercial disputes and litigation;
  • Revenue Grant agreements; and
  • Outsourcing and intra–NHS shared services

  • Independent Sector;
  • Employment Governance;
  • Employee Payments;
  • Employment Relationship Advice;
  • Immigration Issues;
  • Other legislation and case law; and
  • The application of the Working Time Regulations, Public Interest Disclosure Act, Data Protection Act, Freedom of Information Act and defamation law in the employment context.

  • Construction disputes;
  • Criminal prosecutions;
  • Housing Association law and practice;
  • Key worker accommodation projects; and
  • Capital grant funding
